Carol Robbins has been teaching pilates full time since 2001. A dressage rider since her early teens, Carol was a long-time pilates advocate and practitioner and decided to make it her career choice after spending several years raising a family.
Originally certified by Stott Pilates International, she has since completed teacher training modules I through VI with Master teacher Dianne Miller (Dianne Miller Pilates Centre of Vancouver), as well as several workshops with Dianne.
She has taken workshops on Reformer, Chair, Cadillac, Barrels and small apparatus, and Theory with Master teacher Karen Carlson, Philadelphia, PA. She has attended workshops with Irene Dowd (NYC, NY), Marie-José Blom (Long Beach CA), Michele Larsson (Santa Fe, NM, Thomas Myers (author of Anatomy Trains), Nutritional Biochemist Rebecca Dietzel (Ailey School NYC, National Ballet of Canada), and has completed Muscle Activation Technique (MAT) Jumpstart for Upper Extremity and Trunk/Spine.
Carol believes even a teacher's journey is never complete and to that end she continues her pilates and anatomy studies with Eileen Birks of Toronto. Eileen is a partner at Metro Movement Dance studios, is on faculty at the National Ballet of Canada and assists Irene Dowd in her workshops in New York and Toronto.
